Welcome to Guitar Lessons For Beginners. If you're looking for the best way to learn guitar, you've come to the right place.
My goal, above all, is to steer you on to the right path so that your learning experience can be as productive and enjoyable as possible. But before we continue...
Allow Me To Be Frank With You:
I'm going to tell you, without sugar coating it, what I tell to all beginner guitarists - Guitar is NOT easy. If you believe otherwise, you are in for a frustrating and disappointing experience.
Now don't get me wrong, I don't want to discourage you, I just want you to have the right mindset and attitude. This is extremely important, especially if you want to get any good.
I have seen many beginners fail, not because they were not talented enough, but because they chose the wrong approach. And I don't want this to happen to you! The key to success or failure lies in the approach. So...
What Is The Right Approach?
First, it is essential to realize that learning guitar is a step-by-step process. It's important to start with the basics and work your way up. It's also very important to develop good habits from the start.
Most beginners simply don't know where to start. They search all over the internet for tidbits of information and try to work something out. The danger with this approach is that they tend to stick only to a few techniques they've picked up here and there, and quickly develop bad habits which can later on severely hinder their progress.
There are 3 key requirements to learning guitar:
Good instructions
Regular practice
and realistic expectations
All are important, but the most important are good instructions. Without them, the other two won't do you much good.
The Best Way To Learn Guitar
The best way to learn guitar is to get into the right mindset (if you're not there already), find quality lessons and stick to them.
What you need are clear and consistent step-by-step lessons that will guide you from start to finish, from the beginner to the advanced level. Learning guitar doesn't have to be a trip full of frustration and confusion. It's supposed to be fun, remember? If you approach it the right way, it can be.
Guitar Lessons For Beginners And Beyond
If you want serious guitar lessons, then my recommendation is Gibson's Learn & Master Guitar.
I have seen many guitar lessons in many different formats - from books and DVDs, to online lessons and software. Sadly, most of them don't deliver. Gibson's Learn & Master Guitar, however, does. This is the best guitar course that I have seen so far and is what I recommend to all aspiring guitarists.
The bottom line: Proper guidance is one of the most important things on your journey toward guitar mastery. If you're really serious about becoming a proficient guitarist, stop wasting your time looking for pieces of information all over the internet - get serious and take a look at - Learn & Master Guitar. This IS the best way to learn guitar and the only course you'll ever need.
